Приведено описание новой разновидности Allium schoenoprasum (sect. Schoenoprasum Dumort.), приуроченной к супралиторали морского берега, охарактеризованы условия естественного произрастания и изменение ряда признаков при культивировании.

Name in english: On the infraspecific diversity of Allium schoenoprasum (Alliaceae) on the Russian Pacific coast

Abstract in english:
The description of a new variety Allium schoenoprasum L. var. litorale, growing in the supralittoral of the sea coast in the very sparsed vegetation cover is given. Differences from the type variety of A. schoenoprasum are marked. The new variety is characterized by plagiotropic direction of the both generative and vegetative shoots growth, and by intense bluish color. The stems are harsh, the leaves are thick, rolled into a shallow spiral. The mentioned xeromorphic features have presumably emerged as an adaptation to survival in specific conditions of the coast with constant, strong winds and high salinity. Under cultivation, the size of vegetative and generative parts increases, retaining the characteristic spatial orientation of shoots.
